How to use Redken Color Gels Developer:
1. Determine the color and developer you will need.
Use a 10 volume developer for up to one shade of minimal lift, a 20 volume developer for up to two shades of standard lift/gray coverage, a 30 volume developer for up to three shades of additional lift and a 40 volume developer for three or more shades of maximum lift/blonding gels.
2. Slip on a pair of protective rubber gloves.
3. Mix a one-to-one ratio of Redken Color Gel and Redken Color Developer into an applicator bottle. For example, mix 2 oz. of gel with 2 oz. of developer.
4. Shake the applicator bottle gently for 30 seconds to mix thoroughly. Use immediately after mixing.
5. Apply the mixtures thoroughly to the hair from roots to tips for new color. For a new growth touch up, only apply the mixtures to new growth.
6. Leave the color on the hair for the designated amount of time. Leave 10 volume developer and color on for 20 minutes, 20 volume developer and color on for 30 minutes, 30 volume developer and color on for 40 minutes and 40 volume developer and color on for 45 minutes.
7. Rinse until the water runs clear and apply a heavy conditioner. Leave the conditioner on for an additional three to five minutes and rinse. Style as usual.

Can you use redken color gels developer with redken men’s color? Or should you just use a regular developer? Does it matter!
If you are referring to Redken men Brews Color Camo 5 Minute Custom Gray Camouflage then the answer is NO. This color is Demi Perm, which does not require developer use. Developer use depends on the color that is applied and on the color that you are trying to get to
