Redken Chromatics Oil in Cream Developer.
Availabe in 10, 20, and 30 volumes.
Redken Chromatics Oil in Cream Developer is the dedicated developer for CHROMATICS.
Depending on hair texture and density, you may see from 1-3 levels of lift depending on the developer selected and how it is used.
Mixing ration: 1:1. 
10 volume - up to 1 level of lift.
20 volume - up to 2 levels of lift + gray coverage.
30 volume - up to 3 levels of lift.
Processing time: 35 minutes. 

When using Redken Beyond Cover Chromatics 3.2 Oz, mix the color with Redken Chromatics Oil in Cream Developer- 20 Volume for up to 2 levels of lift (75-100% gray coverage). Mixing ratio: 1:1. Average processing time: 35 minutes.

Hi I want to know what volume of the redken chromatic developer should i use. I have grey hairs and i am torn between volume 20 and 30. Btw, can you explain what the levels of lift means? Thank you. Hope to hear from you soon.
Dear Len, We suggest going to the salon and asking a salon professional directly since much of the answer depend on the actual hair type, color, thickness and etc. the Salon professional will make the decision on what should be used based on those properties. But In General: 20vol is for grey coverage. 30vol is more for making color brighter which makes it a little lighter. Levels of lift means going lighter in levels of color. I.e. Going from light brown to dark blonde. Bleach gives you 7-8 levels of lift which takes you from level 3 to level 10.
